I was reading a blog today (that I fell instantly in love with) It's Simply Modern Mom and I came across her post about Polaroids, which I also love. Of course, you may have already figured that out, since I currently have Polaroid-like frames as my header.
So, this really cool site Poladroid.net has what's called the "Poladroid Project" ("Poladroid is not a trademark of Polaroid Corp. It's just a software which reproduces Polaroid Rendering.") It allows you to download a free application (donations requested) that turns your digital photos into a Polaroid-like picture.
It's great, and best of all, easy! It clicks and whirrs, and there's your undeveloped "Polaroid".
You can even shake your Polaroid to "develop" it. I decided to make a Polaroid from a photo taken with my cell phone...you know how those turn out, not the best quality, but cherished for the moment. And, another good thing (What? It gets better?) Once it's developed it will show a pink ribbon on the corner of the frame, you Right-click the frame and it saves to your computer next to the original in your hard drive. The dimensions & resolution are large enough for a good quality print.
What are you waiting for? Go! Go now and get your own Polaroids! Just don't forget about coming back to visit me later!
